Copywriting

The right words, in the right voice, for the right people.

There's a version of your business that exists in your head - the one where you explain what you do, and people just get it. Where your website actually reflects how good you are. Where your LinkedIn doesn't sound like everyone else's.

That version is closer than you think. It just needs someone who'll take the time to find it.

Most businesses treat copy as an afterthought - something to sort at the end of a website build, or hand off to whoever's cheapest and available. Please, don’t do that!

Good copy isn't filler. It's the thing that makes someone stop, read to the end, and feel something that moves them to take action. That might be picking up the phone, filling in a form, or simply thinking, "Yes, that's exactly who I need."

That's where a lot of copywriters fall short. They'll ask a few questions, pick a few phrases you like, and call the job done. I work differently. Before I write a word, I dig into your business, your voice, your tone, your goals, and the outcomes you want.

What do you want your audience to feel?

What do you want them to do?

Every piece of copy I write works backwards from those questions, because that's where the real work happens.

Website copy

Your website is your shop window. It's often the first real impression a potential client gets of your business, and it needs to work hard to sound clear, confident, and unique. I write website copy that's built around your ideal client, not around what sounds impressive.

LinkedIn ghostwriting

LinkedIn is the most powerful business development tool, but most founders aren't using it properly. Whether you want to show up more consistently, build your profile, or just stop putting it off every week, I can write in your voice so that your headline, profile, and every post sound genuinely like you, even when you didn't write a word of it.

Blogs and case studies

Long-form content builds trust in a way that short-form simply can't. A well-written blog answers the questions your ideal clients are already asking. A good case study shows rather than tells what it's like to work with you. I write both, and I write them properly.

Everything else

Award entries, email newsletters, proposals, company profiles, taglines, product descriptions - if it needs words and those words matter, I can help.

How I work

I have a journalistic mindset, which means I ask better questions before I write anything. I don't settle for the surface answer. I dig until I understand not just what you do, but why it matters and who it's for. That's always where the best copy comes from.

Every project starts with a proper conversation. From there, I'll get into your world, understand your audience, and write copy that does what it's supposed to do. Most projects are handled by me directly, and when I do bring in trusted people I know well, the brief, the standards, and the relationship stay firmly with me.

If your copy isn't doing you justice, let's change that.
